lyrics
Having a cold bath in the black lake,
Golden shadows in a blueish mirror.
Woke up to realize that it's gone,
Sip a black tea on the porch
And smile smile smile
Working two hours till the next breath,
Listening to some country from an old green van,
Now I'm feeling lighter, smiling full released,
Shortly understand that I'm here, I'm here here here
Oh Maine, I surely can be blamed,
I have unknowingly disdained,
Your easing, balmy rain,
What your starry nights can say,
That will always be the same,
That's why I'll be back again.
Oh, You took my trouble Maine.

This EP is a treasure. It's here that you can hear the "Elevator" lyrics "Now I see closing the doors / I feel awkward and count the floors," which capture the awkwardness perfectly, grammatically and rhythmically. Of course you see the closing itself before you actually see the doors. Of course the words are a little out of place, because so are you, as you count the floors. A gorgeous song in its different versions, but especially here. And a gorgeous EP. dianasenechal
